Enhanced Version A window opens with a view of the inside of the Space Station Processing Facility. There is a slider in the middle of the screen below the picture. Move the center button to the left or right to activate the movement of the image, which will rotate to give a 360 degree view of the room.There are 7 "hotspots" delineated in the image. The descriptions of these are: 1. Digital Clock - used to display Universal Time Coordinated (UTC Time) and GMT time. This clock is used for timing purposes in testing. 2. Part Storage & Documentation Area - Flight hardware items are temporarily stored here. The computer for paperless work document systems is also located in this area. 3. Portable Scaffolding - This scaffolding is used to access flight hardware and can be positioned as needed. 4. NODE 1 (Unity) - The Unity Node was launched in December of 1998. 5. Pressurized Mating Adapter - Payload that was launched on Assembly Flight 3A (STS-92) on October 11, 2000. 6. Computer Work Station - Computer is used for loading software into the two computers aboard each Node. 7. Rack Insertion Device - Device that was developed locally for inserting racks into modules. |
